Boise State defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski to Washington per report

Boise State might also be losing their defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski to Washington.

Brian Losness-USA TODAY Sports

Former Boise State head coach Chris Petersen might be taking defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowsk with him to Washington, per Coaching Search by way of Dawgman.com ($). This makes sense to why the interim head coach for the bowl game is assistant head coach and linebackers coach Bob Gregory, and not Kwiatkowski. There is also rumblings that offensive Robert Prince could also be going to Washington.

If this report about Kwiatkowski to Washington is correct that means that Justin Wilcox is no longer going to be the defensive coordinator at Washington under his former boss. That paves the way for Wilcox to be the next Boise State head coach, and that would not be a bad hire for the Broncos.

With the possibility of Boise State losing both coordinators they may have a difficult time filling out a complete staff for their bowl game, but that is a small cost to pay if they get the right guy to lead Boise State.
