Apparently, quarterbacks Nick Patti and Joe Southwick were having too much fun in Hawaii and they have been suspended from Friday's practice. There is no word on the playing status of either quarterback would be for Tuesday's game, but Patti was not likely to play anyways.
However, Southwick has the chance to regain his starting spot now that he is healthy after breaking his ankle back on Oct. 19 against Nevada; prior to the injury Southwick started the first seven games. Interim head coach Bob Gregory has said that Southwick and Grant Hedrick would both see time on Tuesday against Oregon State, but this incident might change things.
If neither Patti or Southwick are unable to play then Boise State will be down to one quarterback in Hedrick. The Broncos do have walk-on redshirt freshman Richard Hoppe and also true freshman Ryan Finley, who is recovering from shoulder surgery.
Another quick injury note is that wide receiver Shane Williams-Rhodes is a game-time decision after having ankle surgery, and he was wearing a walking boot during Friday's practice.
