The official BCS standings will officially be released next week, so this is the final simulated numbers. Right now it is Fresno State who is the highest rated non-BCS team at No. 22, but the MAC's Northern Illinois is right on the Bulldogs tail at No. 23.
The computers like Northern Illinois by just a little bit, but once the high and low scores are removed then the two schools are pretty even. With no real strength of schedule left for either team on the schedule, each team will need to win and win big, plus hope teams above them fall. At this moment, No. 12 is likely where Fresno State, or any non-BCS team, will need to be to earn a BCS bid since Louisville is currently in the top 10.

Keys: Pvs = Previous Week; Coach = USA Today Coaches Poll; AP = Associated Press Poll; AH = Anderson & Hester; CM = Colley Matrix; JS = Jeff Sagarin; KM = Kenneth Massey; RB = Richard Billingsley; Md = Median ranking of 52 computer ratings; Cp Avg = Computer Average.
Explanation: This rankings method is a simulation of the actual BCS standings with the following variations: 1) The AP Poll is used in place of the Harris Interactive Poll, which is not published until after the first weekend of October; 2) Peter Wolfe's computer ratings, which will not be available until when the BCS standings are released, is replaced by the median ranking of 52 computer ratings.
