Week 7 is already here and for the Mountain West that means conference play is ramping up. Before we actually get into the game we are going to take a quick look at the early odds on these games.
San Diego State at Air Force (+4): This game is still up in the air due to the government shutdown, but the four points given to the Aztecs seems low based on their past two games.
Boise State at Utah State (+7): Without Chuckie Keeton I am surprised that this spread is not close to 10 points for Boise State. Perhaps because this is in Logan, Utah, and the Aggies do have a very good front seven.
Hawaii at UNLV (-10): Not sure the last time anyone was confident in a UNLV team that was favored by double-digits, but I am fully on board with the Rebels covering this week.
San Jose State at Colorado State (-3.5): San Jose Sate showed some life against Hawaii on the road, but Colorado State may have turned a corner with a stellar running game. However, my early lean is for San Jose State to win a close game.
New Mexico at Wyoming (-15): This is a very large line in favor of the Cowboys. Wyoming is the better team in my opinion and it is a home game, but the Lobos are capable of putting up points. Also, do not forget that Wyoming lost to Texas State just a few weeks ago.
