The UNLV Runnin' Rebels are on the verge of landing one of the best recruiting classes in the country for their 2014 class. Last week, the Rebels landed a verbal commit from four-star center Goodluck Okonoboh, and a few months prior earned a verbal not from five-star small forward Dwayne Morgan.

Both of those recruits are East Coast players, where as five-star shooting guard Rashad Vaughn comes from Las Vegas basketball factory Findlay Prep, so getting him to visit UNLV should have been a slam dunk. Vaughn is taking his official visit Thanksgiving weekend, and this is a good thing for the Minnesota native since his family will be in Las Vegas with him and likely will be involved with his visit.

Vaughn already has visits scheduled with Baylor and Iowa State in October and November. He is also planning on rescheduling his visit with North Carolina, and his fifth and final allowable official visit is more than likely going to be with Kansas. Other schools in the mix are Minnesota and Arizona, but those visits are going to be unofficial.

Some strong aspects of Vaughn's game is his size, ability to hit the three-point shot particularly off a catch and shoot and he can handle the ball very well in the open court. He does need to be more consistent with his shot and he has trouble when defenders press or when Vaughn tries to go left. Plus, he needs to work on getting open without the ball so that he can take advantage of his ability to shoot the three

Here are some highlights of Vaughn:
