College football AP Top 25 poll, Week 7: Fresno State rises to No. 21

Fresno State moves up two spots in the latest AP poll.

The Fresno St. Bulldogs are the only Mountain West team ranked in the latest AP poll, plus the only team getting any consideration. The rise in the poll comes from throttling Idaho 61-14, and just perhaps Fresno State found a defense.

It also helped that former No. 21 ranked Arizona State loss to Notre Dame and Oklahoma State squeaked past a bad Kansas State team, and those results helped Fresno State climb up the polls.
