The Boise State radio broadcast on Saturday night is saying that the possible injury to quarterback Joe Southwick is a broken ankle, and others are saying it is a broken foot. Regardless of the area of the right lower extremity the season for Soutwhick is likely over.
Southwick left the game on his first offensive possession when he took off for a 7-yard run. Soon after he was carted off the field in the first quarter.

With Southwick possibly out for the season, the Broncos will turn to capable backup Grant Hedrick. In Saturday night's game against Nevada Hedrick ran the ball well with over 100 yards, but while his passing was efficient he did not even crack the 150 yard mark and did throw an interception in Boise State's win over Nevada.
