Boise State Broncos are looking for a few good men

At least five scholarships still remained unfilled in their 2014 class.

Otto Kitsinger III

Boise State will be losing 14 scholarship seniors at the end of this year. The Broncos will also add three more scholarships to the 2014 team with the expiration of the NCAA penalty. That curse has been a yoke around the Broncos necks since 2010. According to the Idaho Statesman, those 17 openings, plus a few others that could be lost to attrition, could have the Broncos looking to fill up to 20 positions for the 2014 season. So far they have 12 committed. The latest commit was DE Jaylen Johnson, 6-4, 240 lbs, a senior out of Centennial HS in Corona, California and who was a subject of an article here in September.

Recruiting is such a competitive part of football, most teams are reluctant to reveal who they are actively recruiting. But one name has leaked out this week from the Boise State camp: Kaleb Hill. Hill, 6-2, 215 lbs, is an under the radar outside linebacker out of Clemons HS, Schertz, Texas. He is the latest prospect to pick up an offer from the Broncos. And with good reason. He has been credited as one of the major reasons why the San Antonio area Clemons Buffalos have a 6-0 record this year.

The confirmed commitments to Boise State in the 2014 class:

DB Khalil Oliver, 6-1, 185, Rocky Mountain HS, Meridian, ID

QB Jalen Greene, 6-3, 194, Serra HS, Los Angeles, CA.

CB Brandon Lewis, 5-11, 180, Pleasant Grove HS, Elk Grove, CA.
