New Mexico fan who pushed UNLV's Anthony Marshall banned for a year from the Pit

The New Mexico fan who pushed UNLV's Anthony Marshall has been banned from the Pit for a year.

Daniel Romero at one point was just a normal New Mexico Lobos basketball fan with seats under the basket, and not a name that people outside of friends, family or co-workers should know.

However, now everyone knows his name as he was the fan in the gold shirt who shoved UNLV's Anthony Marshall on Wednesday night, as he he went out of bounds going after a loose ball.

For the shove, Romero was immediately removed from the game and has now been banned from the Pit for one year. This was a New Mexico decision to do so, and it was the right move.

Fans can yell, cheer and boo, but to physically touch a player is so out of bounds. There have been attempts by media outlets to reach Romereo, but he has not responded to those attempts.
