*Mountain West game

The big game this week is San Diego State vs. New Mexico and they will decide who the conference champion, and top seed will be in the Mountain West tournament. The top seed is up for grabs on Saturday as New Mexico takes on San Diego State in Viejas Arena, where the winner takes all.

UNLV can clinch the No. 3 seed if they top rival Nevada, on the road. If they lose then that third seed will be between Nevada and Boise State (yes, they will top Air Force), yet if Air Force tops Boise State and Nevada tops UNLV then Nevada will take the No. 3 seed.

However, if Nevada and Boise State do finish with the same league record the tiebreaker goes down to common opponents and each had the same record all the way down to San Jose State, and that loss by Nevada to San Jose State would give Boise State the three seed, Nevada the fourth seed and UNLV the fifth seed.

After the fifth seed the rest of the league is likely not going to win the Mountain West tournament. Wyoming would have had a shot but with Larry Nance tearing his ACL, the Cowboys will have a tough go in the conference tournament.
