With just a week remaining in the regular season, there is still a lot of movement in the rankings. Twelve of the ranked teams lost at least one game and four of them lost twice last week. Wichita State finished the regular season with a perfect 31-0 record and remains at No. 2 behind only Florida.
Virginia was the big mover, climbing seven spots to No. 5 following the victory over Syracuse. Wisconsin surprisingly moved up five full places to No. 9 after beating two Big Ten teams with losing records in conference.
San Diego State moved up three places to No. 10 after double-digit wins against two conference foes. New Mexico moved up from No. 25 to No. 21 after knocking off Utah State and Nevada.
Hardest hit for the week were Kentucky and Saint Louis, both of whom lost two games to unranked opponents. Kentucky dropped eight places to No. 25 while Saint Louis fell seven spots from No. 10 to No. 17.
