LAS VEGAS - This game can be characterized by runs for both teams.
Boise State started hot, leading 26-15; then Nevada went on a 17-6 run to finish the half. During Nevada's run, Boise State did not make a field goal in 9:04 and got their points from free throws.
Both teams have been very balanced in terms of players scoring: Deonte Burton leads the Wolf Pack with 11 points, along with Cole Huff (eight points) and Jerry Evans, Jr (seven points). For the Broncos, Anthony Drmic and Ryan Watkins both have seven points, and Mikey Thompson is following them with six points.
Nevada needs to get more players involved, as Boise State will be searching for an answer to quiet Burton. For the Broncos, they need to snap out of their field goal-less funk. This has been an all-too-familiar story for the Broncos and the sooner that they break out of it, the better.
Side note: Deonte Burton has one dunk on the Broncos so far.
