2014 Mountain West Tournament: Halftime Update - Fresno State 27, Air Force 24

LAS VEGAS – Tyler Johnson has turned up the heat for Fresno State, as the Bulldogs currently lead 27-24 over the Falcons.  The senior guard has 10 points and eight rebounds so far.  Despite the Bulldogs starting 1-14 shooting, they stayed close to Air Force through driving hard to the paint and getting to the free throw line.

The turning point was when Cezar Guerrero missed a three-point shot.  While the ball was still airborne, Johnson jumped up, grabbed the rebound and slammed it home to make the Bulldogs trail 23-22 with 3:42 left.

From there, Air Force could not make another field goal to finish the half.

Helping Johnson in the score column, freshman Paul Watson and Allen Huddleston both have six points.  For the Falcons, Tre' Coggins leads the way with 12 points and Max Yon has five points.  Both teams have made the same amount of field goals and the biggest difference in this game is that Fresno State has made one more three-point shot and two more points from free throws.
