College Football Rankings : Boise State At No. 22 In Simulated BCS Standings

The simulated BCS standings are back for Week 2 and there was a lot of movement after one week. Even though Boise State lost to Michigan State they only fell four spots from Week 1and are sitting solid at No. 22.

The Nevada Wolf Pack made the list due to getting some votes in the coaches poll, but they are at the bottom at No. 45 and are not rated by any of the early computers that have published their results for the week. That could change if they get past South Florida on Saturday afternoon.

The Big East play a key roll in determining how highly ranked a Mountain West team needs to be to earn a BCS bid. Right now the Louisville Cardinal s are the highest rated Big East team, but they are all the way down at No. 27. That will definitely help the Mountain west because all they have to be at this very early point is No. 16 and ahead of a Big East team.

At this very early point, Boise State still has a shot at the BCS, but as the season progresses they will need help if they want to make a move. Also, if Nevada wins on Saturday they should shoot up these rankings and possibly be near the top 25 since they should be ranked int he human polls, but I assume too much, so who really knows.

Here is this week's simulated BCS standings:
