The Boise St. Broncos were ranked No. 24 after their less than stellar 7-6 win over the BYU Cougars just over a week ago, but after a slim 32-29 win over the New Mexico Lobos, the Broncos are on the outside looking in on the AP poll. Boise State had 114 points for them last week, and that number was nearly cut in half as they now have 53 points.
The drop comes from playing a closer than expected game against New Mexico, and if the AP voters looked to see that Boise State nearly blew a 25-0 lead, then dropping them in the polls seems appropriate. At the moment, the Broncos are at No. 27, and are the only Mountain West team receiving votes.
