The Wyoming Cowboys and Washington St. Cougars have agreed to play a home-and-home series beginning in Pullman on Sept. 12, 2015, and the return trip to Laramie to open the season in 2018. This is a big deal for Wyoming since they have started to recruit the Pacific Northwest more, so being closer to that area is a chance for some recruits to check out Wyoming on the road.
Also, we all know that Washington State is not the best Pac-12 team -- three year's from now, who know's -- which gives Wyoming a decent shot of pulling of a win over a Pac-12 team. The game is still a few years away, but in the 2015 game Wyoming likely will be breaking in a new quarterback since Brett Smith will have exhausted his eligibility by then, unless he has to redshirt due to an injury.
Adding the game in 2015 fills out Wyoming's schedule, and it adds a solid team to the mix as well to go along with a pair of MAC schools and then one FCS team.
The home non-conference schedule in 2018 is looking pretty good with Missouri also heading to Laramie in addition to Washington State.
2015
Sept. 5 North Dakota
Sept. 12 at Washington State
Sept. 19 Eastern Michigan
Sept. 26 at Northern Illinois
2018
Sept. 1 Washington State
Sept. 8 Missouri
Wyoming also scheduled Montana for a home game in 2014.
