Mountain West Football Week 1 Open Thread

The bulk of the Mountain West games get underway on Saturday, and the league will be getting their first win of the season after two close calls with UNLV falling to Minnesota in overtime, Boise State coming up short against Michigan State and then future Mountain West member San Jose State gave Stanford a real scare in their post Andrew Luck era.

On Saturday there will be eight games with the big one being Nevada at Cal, I select it as the big game because it's a winnable game against a solid opponent. Wyoming vs. Texas could be interesting for part of the game, and while seeing Hawaii upset USC would be awesome, not likely to happen.

Also, at halftime of the USC vs. Hawaii game, Chris and I will do a live video talking about the game (making jokes if it is a blow out) through a Google Hangout which can bee seen right here at approximately 9 p.m. ET or so.
