Wyoming To Play At Michigan State In 2014, No Return Game

Presswire

The Wyoming Cowboys have been known to line up some high quality opponents such as the Texas Longhorns, Nebraska Cornhuskers and Oregon Ducks. The latest big name for Wyoming football to play will be a road game against the Michigan St. Spartans. Playing at Michigan State is a great game for Wyoming to get even though there will not be a return visit to Laramie.

The 2014 non-conference schedule is looking very tough for Wyoming:

09/06 - at Oregon
09/20 - at Michigan State
09/27 - Florida Atlantic

Wyoming was to play Utah State at home after Oregon, but with them heading to the Mountain West they will still likely play but it will be a league game. That is a tough schedule to maneuver with two road games against a Pac-12 and Big Ten, and Florida Atlantic is not terrible however being at home should be a win. Expect that final non-conference game to be against a FCS team or maybe a MAC team.

That 2014 team could be lining up to be one of the better seasons for Wyoming as Brett Smith will be a senior (assuming he stays he all saw what happened to Austin Carta-Samuels) and a four-year starter. Dave Christensen will be heading into his sixth season and his spread attack will be be in a groove with over one full recruiting class in the system.
