Certain Mountain West schools are taking advantage of being able to sell some of their game inventory to cable providers. The San Diego St. Aztecs, UNLV Rebels and Fresno St. Bulldogs have all signed deals with the new Time Warner Cable SportsNet which is set to launch Oct. 1. The availability and tier has yet to be announced, but it seems like it should be available in all of California and at least parts of Nevada since the inked a deal with UNLV.
Time Warner Cable SportsNet was created to broadcast Los Angeles Lakers and and LA Galaxy games, and the new channel needs live inventory so they made a deal with the three schools mentioned above.
While there are some games that are similar to Root Sports, there are also eight new games announced with this deal.
The channel will air 12 Mountain West football games and at least 24 Mountain West basketball games. Here are the 12 football games:

This deal gives even more television coverage and it really helps out UNLV, San Diego State, Fresno State and indirectly New Mexico even though they don't have a deal with Time Warner Cable SportsNet.
