2012 NFL Supplemental Draft Includes TCU's Ed Wesley, Boise State's Quaylon Ewing

The supplemental draft for the NFL is be held on July 12 and it will include a pair of now former Mountain West players:

• Boise State DB Quaylon Ewing
• TCU RB Ed Wesley

• Baylor WR Josh Gordon
• Syracuse RB Adam Harris
• Iowa State T Adrian Haughton
• Carson-Newman LB Larry Lumpkin
• Georgia DE Montez Robinson
• McMurray WR Houston Tuminello

Wesley is in the supplemental draft because he withdrew from school in late May due to family reasons, and so he was unable declare for the 2012 NFL Draft. During his three-year TCU career, Wesley rushed for 2,442 yards and scored 21 touchdowns. He also caught 22 passes for 314 yards and three touchdowns. He also was the 2009 Mountain West freshman of the year, and he has the talent to make a NFL team.

However, it depends what teams will be willing to give up for Wesley. With the supplemental draft being a blind draft so teams do not who they will pick since they submit a bid for a player. I think that Wesley could possibly be had for a 2013 fifth or sixth round pick.

The other Mountain West player is Quaylon Ewing, a defensive back from Boise State. He is entering the draft because he was dismissed from the team in January for failure to live up to the standards of the program. Ewing had issues in high school, and the odds he is going to be taken are extremely unlikely.
