Fresno State recruiting: QB Zack Greenlee invited to Under Armour All-America game

Future Bulldog quarterback Zack Greenlee was selected to the 2012 Under Armour high school All-American game.

This is a bit dated, but quarterback Zack Greenlee, who is a current Fresno St. Bulldogs 2013 verbal commit, has been invited to the 2012 Under Armour All-America game which features the top 2013 recruits. Greenlee has been a late bloomer in this recruiting cycle, and he was able to earn this honor by replacing injured quarterback Kohl Stewart (Houston/St. Pius X).

Greenlee is rated as the No. 9 pocket passer and 120th player according to ESPN recruiting, but their recruiting expert Tom Luginbill felt Greenlee earned this spot due to his meteoric rise at the Elite 11 camps over the summer:

"We would have liked to have looked into a dual-threat type, but when it came down to pocket guys, Greenlee was our go-to guy all along," Luginbill said. "This is a kid that doesn't care about hype, doesn't care that others are receiving it and he isn't. All he does is compete and play well when given the opportunity . ...We are excited to have him in this environment and we would expect him to make the same impression at the Under Armour All-America Game that he made on those who knew nothing of him at the Elite 11."

This is a huge boost to Fresno State who will have their school mentioned throughout this prestigious event.

In Greenlee's senior season he led his team to an 8-4 record, threw for 1,953 yards, 22 touchdowns and just a pair of interceptions.

The 2013 Under Armour game will be played on Friday, Jan. 4 at 5 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN.
