The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl announced Sunday that the Western Athletic Conference champion (and future Mountain West member) Utah State Aggies will face the Toledo Rockets at the bowl game, which will be played at Bronco Stadium in Boise, Idaho on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 2:30 p.m. MT.
The bowl game, which is the first-ever meeting between the two teams, will be televised on ESPN and broadcast on ESPN Radio.
Utah State, which finished the season 10-2 and ranked 18th in the Associated Press poll and 20th in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll, just completed its most successful regular season in school history as it set single-season records for wins (10) and home wins (6), while recording its first outright league championship since 1936.
Toledo (9-3) tied for second place in the West Division of the Mid-American Conference with Ball State. The Rockets won eight straight games at one point in the season, including a 29-23 victory over then No. 18 Cincinnati.
The Rockets most recently played in the 2011 Military Bowl in Washington D.C., as it defeated the Air Force Falcons, 42-41 while the Aggies played in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl last season, losing to the Ohio Bobcats 24-23 last season.

Aggie quarterback Chuckie Keeton is 14th in the nation in passing efficiency with a rating of 156.70 and 17th in total offense, averaging 305.92 yards per game. Running back Kerwynn Williams is ranked 23rd in the nation with an average of 106.42 ypg.
Led by running back David Fluellen and quarterback Terrance Owens, Toledo enters the game ranked 28th in the nation in total offense, averaging 456.08 yards per game and 39th in scoring offense, averaging 32.92 points per game.
Fluellen is rated seventh in the nation in rushing with an average of 132.73 ypg while Owens is rated 34th in the nation in total offense with an average of 278 ypg. Receiver is ranked 19th in receptions with an average of 6.83 catches per game.
