Rice will sport helmets that feature the American flag.
When the Rice Owls take the field against Air Force in the Armed Forces Bowl they will attempting to match the patriotic-ness when they hit the field with these helmets.

The Falcons wore very similar helmets to honor 9/11 earlier in the season.
These helmets look very nice, and will stick with the bowl's theme of honoring America's armed forces personnel. There is no word if Air Force will have special uniforms, but we know that they have used America-themed helmets and uniforms in their back pocket if they want to try to out-uniform Rice.
The 2012 version of the Armed Forces Bowl will take place in Fort Forth, Texas, on Saturday Dec. 29 at the absurd early time of 11:45 a.m. ET (10:45 a.m. local kick). The game will also be broadcast on ESPN.
