The UNLV Runnin' Rebels are one of five schools that five-star shooting guard Isaac Hamilton is considering. Hamilton is from Los Angeles, so he also has an offer form UCLA, plus an offer from UTEP, Baylor as well as outgoing Mountain West member San Diego State. According to ESPN's recruiting services, Hamilton is the 25th best player in the 2013 class, and the third best player in the state of California.

Hamilton is going to be making his decision Friday at 7 p.m. ET on an ESPNU national signing day special. He has visited UNLV, San Diego State and UCLA. Just this past weekend he took an official visit to Las Vegas and took in the teams big win over Northern Arizona.

Sources close to Hamilton are saying that it is between UNLV and UTEP, however Hamilton was interviewed by Bruins Sports Report of the Rivals network, and he said that all five schools are still in play. That interview was on Thursday, but saying all five schools are an option is expected at this point.

Here is what Hamilton said about UNLV in that Rivals article:

"Coach (Dave) Rice, he's the same way. The way they play is up and down and their guys have freedom. Coach Rice is a cool guy. He's going to coach me, but he's going to be good to me at the same time. That's actually kind of what I like about all of these coaches. I know they are all going to yell or this or that. But, they are not going to put me down and they are going to try and build me up."

Hamilton said in that same interview that he wanted to wait another week or so about this decision, but something must have changed since he is making his decision on ESPNU Friday night.

An interesting note about Hamilton is that his younger brother, Daniel, a four-star forward in the class of 2014, and whoever lands Isaac could have a leg up in landing Daniel.
