The preseason college basketball Associated Press Top 25 poll is out, and this preseason poll also has the San Diego St. Aztecs and UNLV Runnin' Rebels ranked in the top 20. UNLV comes in at No. 18 and San Diego State is at No. 20. That is very similar to the coaches poll which has the Rebels at 19 and Aztecs at the 20 spot.

Colorado State and New Mexico are both earning consideration as well. The Rams earned one vote for the 25th spot, and the Lobos earned nine points.

The top of the poll is the same with Indiana holding down the top spot followed by Louisville and then Kentucky. In fact the top eight spots are exactly like the coaches poll.
