The Fresno St. Bulldogs received a huge boost for their 2013 class, as Zack Greenlee out of Stockon, Calif., verbally committed to play football for Fresno State. He made the announcement himself on twitter:

This is a huge get for Fresno State, Greenlee is a three-star quarterback, but he is also an ESPN top-150 player and comes in at 120th overall. ESPN also rates him as the No. 9 overall pocket-passing quarterback. He has competed in multiple Elite 11 camps, and after a pair of camps was chosen as the fourth best quarterback in the circuit.

ESPN recruiting analyst Tom Luginbill said after the final Elite 11 camp in August that he is not sure why more teams are not looking at him:

"He is maybe the best player -- regardless of position -- that college programs aren't paying attention to for whatever reason. He has a quick release and a live arm. He doesn't have ideal height, but he is gifted when it comes to understanding the game and he's a quick learner. I think somebody is going to get a steal with him."

Fresno State was his only offer, and that came after an Elite 11 camp in Las Vegas where he stunned the competition with his excellent performance. Greenlee had interest from BYU, Boise State and a lot of Pac-12 teams, but Fresno State was his only offer, so he stuck with them. His lack of offers was odd, and who knows what he had just the one. He is not a huge kid but he is 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, plus runs a 4.94-second 40-yard dash. Maybe teams didn't like his competition he faced in high school, or maybe schools wanted him to be just a little bit taller.

Regardless of the reasons, Fresno State grabbing Greenlee is a huge deal.

Here are some highlights of Greenlee:
