UNLV has been a good place for transfers to succeed with Michael Moser being the most recent example for success. UNLV was mentioned as a possible landing spot for Pitt freshman Khem Birch, but now Birch is down to picking UNLV or the Florida Gators and will make his decision on Monday.
Birch took visits to Florida and watched their game against UAB and he also took a visti to New Mexico State before making his way to view an UNLV practice on Sunday morning. Originally Birch was to make his selection Sunday night, but now it is expected to come today.
Birch is a former McDonald's All-American from the 2011 class and if Birch does go to UNLV it could help them land local recruit Shabaaz Muhammad who is the No. 1 recruit in the 2012 class.
