Boise St. Broncos offensive coordinator Brent Pease has been a wanted man for his services. Both the Alabama Crimson Tide and Florida Gators have been in the hunt to land Pease. According to Pat Dooley of the Gainseville Sun and others, Pease is heading to be on the Florida staff as their offensive coordinator. This is a good move for Florida to land Pease, because we all saw what the Boise State offense did against the Georgia Bulldogs way back in Week 1.
Also we can not blame Pease for taking off for another job as it is unlikely that he would ever land the head job at Boise State. Perhaps Pease can breath in some life to that stagnant Florida offense that was run under Charlie Weis. Those at Florida should expect a pro-style offense with a few wrinkles with sets and plays, and those expecting trick plays all the time will be highly disappointed since those are few and are far between.
This is the second offensive coordinator that Boise State has lost in as many years. Last year they lost Bryan Harsin to the Texas Longhorns, and this is not a huge loss since the offense comes from Chris Petersen. As for Pease's replacement it is expected to be wide receivers coach Robert Prince.
