On Tuesday, Colorado State moved to 2-0 in conference play after taking down Boise State, 66-55. Wednesday saw Wyoming get its first conference victory over Air Force, 66-55, UNLV score 101 points in their victory over TCU, 101-78, and San Diego State use a 15-0 run late in the game to take down New Mexico, 75-70. With the Aztecs victory, they have put themselves in the driver's seat to win the Mountain West Conference.
San Diego State is now 2-0 in conference play with both wins over the only two other serious contenders for the Mountain West crown. From here up until the Aztecs rematch with the Runnin' Rebels in February, San Diego State shouldn't have much trouble getting more W's. The Aztecs also have used those two victories to skyrocket their RPI up to 29, good enough for third best in the Mountain West.
Today's slate of Mountain West games should be interesting, with New Mexico @ UNLV headlining the weekend.
