UNLV's 2011-12 non-conference basketball schedule was finalized Tuesday morning, and there are good amount of matchups in the Las Vegas area either at home at the Thomas and Mack Center or in the Orleans Arena.
They get high profile matchup against USC in a tournament and then possibly North Carolina, pending how the other half of the four team tournament goes. They also get Cal and UTEP who are solid opponents. They get to face on the road three NCAA teams from last year in Santa Barbra, Wisconsin and Illinois.
With the Mountain West down to eight teams UNLV had to schedule four more non-conference games to bring their total to 18 instead of 14.
