PlayoffPAC- Fiesta Bowl in trouble:

The Fiesta Bowl has, since 2007, secured for itself over $1.5 million in exchange for contractually binding schools to pay a fixed price for a pre-determined number of rooms at certain Scottsdale, Arizona hotels. These kickbacks are received under a contract with a local hotel group that will ultimately pay the Fiesta Bowl a total of $8.2 million.

During a thorough review of contracts and other materials, Playoff PAC failed to locate any indication the Fiesta Bowl informed schools of these payments. Public schools participating in Fiesta-hosted Bowl games have lost $4.6 million and paid $8.7 million for meal and loding expenses since 2007.
