Mountain West commish: No expansion talk | Idaho Statesman
Craig Thompson denied any reports of Mountain West Expansion on Wednesday, saying that the word "expansion" hadn't even been used in any meetings since May.

ESPN 2011 College Football Game Schedule | ESPN MediaZone
ESPN has released their full schedule of college football games that will be televised (sort of). The lengthy list of over 400 games has many slots that read "TBD".

Pac-12 Conference to Create Seven TV Channels -
Remember that massive $3 billion/12 year deal that the Pac-12 signed with ESPN and Fox Sports a while back? That was only the beginning. The Pac-12 is now going to create the Pac-12 network, which will include one national channel as well as six regional channels.


Coughlin Signs with Buccaneers -
Former Boise State University quarterback Mike Coughlin officially signed a free agent contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the team announced Wednesday.

2011-12 Non-Conf. Schedule Announced - UNLV OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE
UNLV Athletics has officially announced opponents and dates for the non-conference portion of its 2011-12 men's basketball season schedule. The schedule is highlighted by participation in the Las Vegas Invitational with a scheduled game vs. USC at the Orleans Arena and a possible match-up with potential preseason No. 1 North Carolina (also at Orleans Arena). Other notable games are at Wisconsin, vs. Illinois at the United Center in Chicago, at home against Nevada, Reno, California and UTEP, as well as road games at UC Santa Barbara, at Wichita State (part of the Mountain West-Missouri Valley Challenge) and at Hawaii on New Year's Eve day.

The Mountain West wants to be considered a power conference. Thompson has battled for an automatic inclusion in the Bowl Championship Series, and for the financial windfall that comes with that automatic qualifier status.
