Slowly, the Mountain West schools are releasing the 2012 and 2013 football schedules. It is a big deal since the Mountain West is going to an eight-game conference schedule meaning a team will miss an opponent on a rotating two year basis.
Nevada and Boise State's 2012 and 2013 schedule were announced this past week, and now Hawaii has released their schedule:
Will miss: Wyoming
2012 home games: Boise State, Nevada, New Mexico, UNLV
2013 home games: Air Force, Colorado State, Fresno State, San Diego State
The downfall of missing Hawaii is that Wyoming will miss out on scheduling a 13th game for the extra revenue, or in some teams cases recouping the expensive trip flying to Hawaii. Actually, it may not be a bad thing for Wyoming to miss out on Hawaii in 2012 and 2013 since that will give them extra time to find a quality home opponent for the extra home game.
