Air Force Football's New Indoor Football Facility To Be Completed This Summer

Last August, the Air Force football team announced that a new indoor practice facility would be constructed on campus. The facility will be called the Holaday Athletic Center because Bart and Lynn Holaday donated $5 million to help have the facility open up this summer. The building is set to open on July 22nd which is a few weeks prior to when the Falcons begin fall camp.

The facility is in the final stages with two months left before it is to open:

With summer still a few weeks away, the building has quickly sprouted up next to the Cadet Field House. There are still some glass and polycarbonate sections to be put in place, and the field needs to be laid down, which is the most time-consuming part of the project that remains. But construction is going as well as could be expected.

This new 94,000-foot facility will help the Falcons in recruiting as well as being able to practice indoors when during the cold and snowy Colorado winters. With the Falcons considered a dark horse team to win the Mountain West, they need to use any and all resources to try to make that happen.
