2011 NFL Draft: The Dream Occurs - SDSU Wide Receiver Vincent Brown taken 82nd overall by the San Diego Chargers

The first, and most likely last, San Diego State player went off the board to a team that most weren't expecting. The San Diego Chargers used their 3rd round pick to take the hometown boy out of San Diego State. Brown was a star at SDSU in his final season and most fans in San Diego wanted Brown to go to the Chargers, although most admitted it most likely wasn't going to happen. Well, it did happen.

Brown wasn't expected to come off the board until Saturday, but that has obviously changed as he joins Austin Pettis as a surprise receiver from the Mountain West to go on Friday.

The other SDSU prospect could possibly be Demarco Sampson, who was also a senior at San Diego State last season, but didn't create as much as buzz as Brown did.

Who would have thought that the San Diego fan favorite will be staying town?
