2011 NFL Draft: Cincinnati Bengals Take Nevada's Dontay Moch At 66th Overall

So it's been about an hour and a half since Titus Young was taken by the Detroit Lions and another Mountain West Player has finally come off the board. With the second pick in the third round, the Cincinnati Bengals selected their second Mountain West Player in Dontay Moch.

Moch is an Outside Linebacker who played well at Nevada and was projected to go somewhere in the third or fourth round. Moch had 8.5 sacks last season as well as 22 tackles for loss. Moch realistically could possibly work his way into the starting lineup, since the only recognizable name at linebacker for the Bengals is Rey Maualuga out of USC.

The Bengals play a 4-3 scheme which means that he may be dropping back into coverage more than rushing the passer, which was his strong suit during his college career. Moch is the fourth player from the Mountain West to be selected and the second from Nevada.
