Ohio State, for some reason, is using camouflage helmets that they will use only during spring practice. They do look pretty sweet, but why only use them during spring practice. They should break those out during the regular season, but the Buckeyes will not. The only other Army motif uniforms have come from Army itself last year and when Under Armour provides uniforms for the Wounded Warrior foundation.
However, 25 of the helmets will be saved from being painted back to the traditional gray and will be signed by head coach Jim Tressel at an astonishing $1,000 a piece. It is for a good cause and the funds arae going to the Ohio National Guard Family Readiness and Warrior Support Program, LiFE (Learning in Fitness & Education) through Sports Program, and the Ruth and Jesse Owens Scholars Fund.
