FX To Air At Least 13 College Football Games In 2011

Looks like Fox is expanding their college football coverage by adding more national games. They already are airing the first ever Pac-12 and Big 10 title games on over the air Fox, and have inked deals with Conference-USA and extended their deal with the Big 12. With the extended inventory, Fox needed to find another outlet for games outside of Fox Sports Net, especially since the Pac-12 is still on Fox Sports for at least one more season.

The deal is expected to be at least 13 games between the Big 12, Pac-12 and C-USA and will be on FX. FX has not shown sports since they showed Major League Baseball and lately is known for being a movie channel with some original programming.

The more college football the better, but this may not be the best news for Mountain West fans as FX is on just about as many households as Versus, easier to find on the fdial and in my opinion is a better known channel. That could just be me since I watch a lot of FX shows.

I should start a countdown clock on when the television deal expires, or something but that may be depressing watching the years that are left on the current deal.
