SB Nation Bracketology: CSU and New Mexico are so close

New, comments

Chris Dobbertean, SB Nation's College Basketball guru, does Bracketology every Tuesday and Bubble Watch every Friday. This week's edition of Bracketology features Colorado State and New Mexico barely missing the cut. According to Dobbertean, both CSU and New Mexico could really use another victory over the other in order to boost themselves into the tournament.

"The Rams week was a mixed one, as they lost a heartbreaker at home to San Diego State on Wednesday, then won a close one in Laramie. A win in Saturday's home game against New Mexico, a team the Rams lost to in the Pit, would be a boost to Colorado State's profile (and damaging to the Lobos')."

"The Lobos picked up a big win at Air Force midweek, but can really help their at-large case by grabbing a sweep of Colorado State this week."

San Diego State comes in as the 2 seed in the Southeast region and BYU follows as the 2 seed in the West region. UNLV makes the jump from 8 seed to 7 seed in the East region even though they lost to BYU on Saturday.
