Boise State Headed Back To Las Vegas Bowl, Taking On Arizona State

So, the Boise St. Broncos reward for going 11-1 is going to the Las Vegas Bowl and take on the floundering Arizona St. Sun Devils team that is 6-6 and just fired their coach. Glad the Mountain West bowl lineup is so stellar (sarcasm folks!).

To make things worse, it was a 9-3 Virginia Tech Hokies team who got in over Boise State. Virginia Tech got blown out by Clemson in a must win game, but apparently a team with three loses and one who got blown out is better then an 11-1 team that lost by a field goal to a top 20 team. So, if you ask me if the BCS makes sense, well just look below for my answer:

Arizona State started well but faded fast down the stretch and lost five of six to end the season. The one impact player on Arizona State is linebacker Vontaze Burfict who could cause some damage against the Boise State offensive line, however I still see Boise State winning by three touchdowns.

In last year's game Boise State was able to match up with the Utah Utes and easily defeated them 26-3. At least last years opponent was ranked, but that was because Boise State was able to strike a deal to face a better opponent in Utah.

This is a pre-Christmas Bowl game that takes place on Dec. 22 with an 8 p.m. ET kick on ESPN.
