The TCU Horned Frogs will be without wide receiver Antoine Hicks in Wednesday's Poinsettia Bowl for violating a school policy. Hicks was the third leading receiver for TCU this and started in all 12 games. On the year he had 33 receptions for 347 yards and a score.
Hicks will not even be traveling with the team as he will be traveling to Indiana:
TCU receiver Antoine Hicks will not play in Wednesday's Poinsettia Bowl for violating school policy, coach Gary Patterson said. Hicks, a senior from Mansfield Timberview, sent a twitter message yesterday indicating that he was traveling to Indiana.
Patterson said the matter was not academically related and that Hicks is still scheduled to graduate in May.
If grades were not the reason for the suspension then the mind wanders to the possibility of the suspension being related to criminal activity, but without any more information it would be irresponsible to speculate that. So, his suspension remains a mystery.
His replacement is expected to be freshman David Porter.
