Week 7 Mountain West Football Odds: Boise State A Whopping 30 Point Favorite

Here are the early lines for this weeks Mountain West games for the four games this week and the San Diego State and Air Force game is a Thursday night matchup.

San Diego State at Air Force -6.5

Both teams are coming off a loss and this line seems a bit high since both teams seem comparable on the year. They each are 3-2 on the year and last year the teams played a close matchup that San Diego State won last year. An early pick I would go with San Diego State to at least cover and possibly win. This seems like a close matchup even though the San Diego State offense has not been great this year.

UNLV at Wyoming -11

Not sure what to make of Wyoming, they hang with Nebraska but get beat badly against Utah State. They are at home where they play better and UNLV has been just awful this year. Early prediction is that Wyoming will cover the 11 points.

Boise State at Colorado State +30

30 points! Seems like the line keeps getting higher and higher each week for Boise State. Colorado State is not terrible on defense with Nordly Capi who has eight sacks on the year and can pressure the quarterback. On the year Boise State only has one win over 30 points and that was their 57-7 win over Fresno State. Thirty points is way too much, so I would lean toward Colorado State in this game, but odds are Boise will win something like 45-10.

New Mexico at Nevada -29

New Mexico is that bad and Nevada has righted the ship some this week with a nice win over UNLV last week where they had 699 total yards. New Mexico is trying out a new defense going back to the 3-3-5 that the Lobos ran under Rocky Long. I would never take New Mexico.
