TCU Round Up

Dallas-Fort Worth showed their support for the Frogs by turning on their televisions in droves on Saturday night.

Saturday's prime-time game from Cowboys Stadium, a 30-21 TCU win over Oregon State, averaged 291,811 D-FW viewers in wiping out all competing programming.

After Lee Corso declared that "TCU would lose by 3 touchdowns" to Oregon State on ESPN College Gameday Gary Patterson made sure that Corso knew he was watching.

"You guys just thought that was just a bogus text in the middle of the day. That was me," Patterson told reporters after his team's 30-21 victory at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. "I asked (host) Chris Fowler, I said: 'Lee, three touchdowns, question mark.'"

Oregon State Coach Mike Riley came to the same realization that most everybody does after facing TCU.

The Horned Frogs, Riley said, were "maybe one of the fastest teams we've ever faced."

TCU Defensive Coordinator receives national honor.

Rivals.com has named TCU's Dick Bumpasas its National Coordinator of the Week following the Horned Frogs' 30-21 win over Oregon State.  In his seventh year as TCU's defensive coordinator and defensive line coach, Bumpas was instrumental in the Horned Frogs limiting the Beavers to just 13 first downs, 255 yards of offense and a 4-of-11 mark on third-down conversions.  TCU held Oregon State star Jacquizz Rodgers to 75 yards rushing on 18 carries. The Beavers finished with 73 yards on the ground, while quarterback Ryan Katz completed just 9-of-25 passes for 159 yards.
