Colorado State Gets First Touchdown in Embarassing Loss to Miami(OH)

The Colorado State Rams lost on the road to the Miami RedHawks 31-10.  There were a lot of mistakes by both teams in what was a pretty ugly football game.  The Rams sit at 0-3 along with UNLV and New Mexico with the difference being UNLV and UNM have played good teams.

The Rams gave up three passing touchdowns to Zac Dysert on 18 of 22 passes.  Evan Harris intercepted a Pete Thomas pass for a touchdown to top off the scoring for the RedHawks.  Tracy Woods ran for 85 yards against the Rams defense.  The defense for Miami did their job by forcing four turnovers and after four sacks the Rams had a total of 1 rushing yard.  The Rams offense abandoned the run after half time trying to play catch up.

The Rams stat sheet lists 21 rushing attempts for 1 yard.  The freshman Thomas was forced to throw 40 times in effort to get the offense going.  Thomas did throw for 305 yards and have a touchdown pass to go with his two interceptions.  Byron Steele did have 7 catches for 118 yards as the Rams did stretch the field a bit more in the passing game.

I kept this short as I am going to do a Rams write up some time this week.  Don't feel left out if you wanted a big post game write up, it was an ugly game on both sides of the ball with the RedHawks winning the least ugly contest.  If I have ever seen a game where both teams should lose this was it.
