Wyoming and Utah has some history ranging from the Harry Potter game in 2004 when the power went out and then in 2007 where the Utes kicked an onside kick while having a huge lead and Joe Glenn flipped off Kyle Whittingham. Well Glenn is gone and Wyoming is a much improved team under Dave Christenson who has a good system in place. Wyoming may be two years away from challenging for an MWC title but they have a future star in Austyn Carta-Samuels who orchestrates the offense.
As for the Utes and the coaching staff this maybe the last time or at least a very long time before they have to travel to Wyoming again. The last time Utah was in Laramie in 2008 and it was a super windy game where no team could complete a pass. The Pokes do have a very good home field advantage, but it is not enough against the top teams.
Utah is ranked 22nd while Wyoming is ranked 88th in the Sporting News Top 100. This game has a 3:00 P.M. CT kick on Saturday, October 16th and will be televised on The Mtn.
Voting begins at 11:00 A.M. MT every morning and lasts for 24 hours.
