TCU Coach Gary Patterson gave one hell of a quotable interview on Wednesday. I would give my thoughts, but I really think these quotes stand by themselves, also it is 2am and it's time to lay it down.
"Let's see what happens in the next two weeks before you make any judgments and see what happens on the national landscape, things I know that maybe you don't know," Horned Frogs coach Gary Patterson said.
"We are going to do what we have done since the beginning of time, since I got here 13 years ago, we are going to take care of TCU. That is what my job is; it is not my job to worry about what Utah does or what BYU does," Patterson said. "But I can tell you this, if they think being independent is an easier way to get to a national championship, you are kidding yourself."
"Like I said before, we are going to see. We are going to see if these are the right decisions," Patterson said. "But you have to be careful what you wish for. If you are BYU, you have to be careful what you wish for."
"No one chose BYU. They chose to do it for themselves. I mean, let's look at this on the other side of it, maybe... I can't say that. I'll save it for another time when we are not in the same conference."
TCU AD Chris Del Conte, fresh off his big moment in the sun, is not going to take let TCU take this moment lying down and is turning over every rock that might benefit the Frogs.
"In this day and age, with conference expansion, teams leaving, everything is on the table," TCU athletic director Chris Del Conte said. "Everything is in play. Every rumor is in play."
