Sorry for the delay in this post, I know everyone was anticipating for this at 11am Wednesday.
Tech has new coach Tommy Tubberville who insists he is not going to remove the Air-Raid offense over night, and I will not believe it until I see the Red Raiders on offense. He did hire former Troy offensive coordinator Neal Brown who ran a spread attack there. The Tech defense should be much improved with Tubberville roaming the sidelines.
New Mexico gets them at home which could give them a slight edge and any edge the Lobos can get they will take. They will need a superb effort on defense to try to slow down the Tech offense, because if this game gets into a track meet there is no chance that New Mexico can hang around.
Texas Tech is ranked 36th while New Mexico is 96th in the Sporting News top 100. The game is on The Mtn HD and kick is at 8p.m. eastern time on Saturday September 11th.
