Predicting The Season: UNLV Rebels @ Utah Utes

UNLV lost their first matchup against Wisconsin while Utah was victorious over Pitt in the Thursday night opener. Utah has only lost one game ever to UNLV and that was the disastrous 27-0 beat down in 2007, and since that game Utah has only lost three games all last year.

UNLV will have a slight advantage with a new system and they have solid quarterback play with projected starter Omar Clayton and touchdown machine Phillip Payne, but they are still trying to get a solid running game.

The last these teams meet in Salt Lake the Utes bowl dozed over the Rebels for revenge for 2007. The Utes will have the offensive advantage with RB's Eddie Wide and Matt Asiata. My early prediction is that Utah rolls again in this game.

Utah is ranked 22nd while UNLV is unranked in the Sporting News top 100. The game is on The Mtn. and in high definition and kick is at 4p.m. eastern time on Saturday September 11th.
