Both teams are expecting improvement with their second year head coaches, and the fan bases are looking forward to possibly challenging for a bowl berth. To say the least this is a game both schools feel they should win; which I would describe as accurate.
Utah State will needs its defense to step it up to try to stop the pass happy offense ran by QB Ryan LIndley who will be targeting WR Vincent Brown all day. Utah State has their quarterback Diondre Borel named to the Manning Watch List which is an award for the best quarterback in the nation, so to have a Utah State guy on the list is a big deal. Borel was a solid quarterback with 17 TD's to only four picks, and should only get better this year.
This could be an exciting game that no one will see since the Mtn is booked with three games, but Versus and CBS College have elected to not show this game or any other MWC games that week (I am just a little bitter about that).
Utah State is unranked while San Diego State is 93rd in the Sporting News top 100. This game has a 5 p.m. pacific kick off time and is not on tv on September 25th.
