Lately there hasn't been many posts about baseball on Mountain West Connection and just wanted to inform everyone about how UNLV baseball has been going.

UNLV's baseball program isn't exactly a top notch program, but it is an above .500 program. They recently have had success with winning seasons in each of the last 3 seasons. UNLV's baseball program is currently 26-20 and 10-8 in conference. There is a lot of baseball left to be played, but I think anyone that has paid attention to Mountain West baseball will tell you that TCU is going to win the conference.

This season has shown ups and downs for the team, at one point they were riding a 7-game win streak, and also went on a 6-game losing streak, then was on a 5-game winning streak before losing to BYU on Saturday Night. Chances are that we will not make it to the college baseball world series, but we can try. We are currently 3rd in the conference between TCU and New Mexico. If I'm not mistaken, the CWS has the same format as NCAA March Madness, with 64 teams making it to the tournament.

UNLV plays at UC Riverside tonight at 6:00 P.M. PT.
